So here I am after 9 months of trouble free Griff ownership and it gone and let me down.

Cruising down the Mway at about 90 and the engine dies for a second or so then picks up again. This happened a couple of times then all was OK

Came off the sliproad tickover at almost zero, accelerate away and it dies completely. Try to start it, it fires but will not run.

Check all the connections to the fuel injection, seem OK, disconeect the EMU, leave it for 5 mins, reconnect start car drive off.

Any ideas anyone or am I dommed to spend the rest of my life trying to track this down.

I know this is probably going to sound silly, but my Manta used to suddenly die for no reason.
I would be going along then power would just go and would have to drift along to the hard shoulder before it conked out.
When it did I couldn't start it until I wiggled the wires on the ECU.
Have you checked to see its not a bad connection into the ECU.

Could be, I spoke to Andy at APM, that what he thinks too, something related to the fuel pump relay. I re seated all the relays yesterday and its been OK so far,
fingers crossed.

Thanks for the advice everyone

This happened to me in a 2001 VW Golf.. They told me it was a faulty fuel sensor but definately an electronics problem...
