Had my Griff 500 for two months now and everything working well. The only concern is when the fans come on the voltmeter jumps down to 11 and then settles at about 12.5 from just over 13.
Is this a common reaction or is something amiss? Reading the Steve Heath bible it states that volts should not fall below 13 above 2000rpm even with all electrics working. Any ideas?

There is a huge surge when the fans come on which will cause the voltage to drop a little. As the instruments are not that accurate and everything seems fine, I wouldn't worry unduly (unless of course you want to )

Some meters don't have good damping on them. Mine don't. Indicators on mine cause 11-15 swing. Meter arm does not register exact change due to momentum (of the meter arm, moving coil), but close to voltage there.
