Anyone experienced this. I went to start my car last night and all instruments were dead. alarm would work, hazards would work but indicators wouldnt, horn wouldnt work. lights would work but not main beam. I couldnt start the car as it was totally dead. On close inspection I found the fuse for the main beam to have blown rlaced it and hey presto all back to normal and car work very odd.

My Chimaera caused me no end of problems with the electrics for a few months. I got an auto electrician to take the car and basically sort it out completely, which took him a week !

He reckoned a Blind 5yr old could have done a better job of the TVR wiring looms

Had a similarly strange, but different problem myself recently.

Saw my driving lights reflected off the car in front, switches were off. At the next roundabout - noticed no indicators. More instant checks, no battery voltage and possible faint alternator warning. However, engine, speedo and rev counter all still OK.

There's 30 fuses under my dash and none are labelled. On checking them, one had blown and when replaced everything was fine for a couple of minutes; then the driving lights came back on, etc.

Cause was diagnosed on a hunch by Richard of Peninsula to a short in one of the indicator repeaters.

Wierd huh!
