Anyone know of a place that has the valeo driving lamps in stock. I have had a pair on back order since December. I'm getting fed up with the Griff looking a mess at the front....

Oh! just found this in my notes

"You can get the Cibie driving lights for the Griff 500 for about 95 quid for a pair (inc. VAT) from Valeo, the UK Cibie distributor. Phone them
on 020 8297 1439".

You can try this number first.

Guys,

Thanks for the help. I managed to find some at Camberley Auto Factors - £40 each. Job for the weekend I feel.

Sorry, I don't have the part number.

Simon - the "trick" is not to pull the inner tube that is holding it on off (if you can follow that sentence!!!). Roll it back, slip old unit out, new unit in, roll it forward. Even that is easier said than done! If you end up with the unit in one hand and the inner tube in the other you haven't enough hands left to put the two back together.

Another Griff owner decided to bond his in and not rely on the rubber band at all, but the replacement unit I had was all rough edges. Good luck anyway!

After struggling with the rubber band for 20 mins, I decided to take the lights out completely, took about 2 mins! then another 30 secs to get the new lamps in. Much easier, now just got to line them up again.

Carbo disks or armourfend anyone?

I vote for Carbodisks.

Great service from Digbits, work well and last.
