Everyone,

Is it just me or has the number of TVRs on the road suddenly increased? Been around the M25 for the last two days and seen, what seems to be, an exceptional number :

Silver Tuscan - M25 (M40)
Reflex Tuscan - M25 (Heathrow?)
Blue Tuscan - M25
Blue Griffith 500 - M25 (M40)
Blue Chimaera - M25
Red Chimaera - M25 (M40)
Black Chimaera - M25 (A1M)
a certain grey S3 ..... with PH stickers - Ted?

This was on wednesday, and today :

Silver Tuscan - M25
Blue Chimaera - A1M
Black Chimaera - A1M

(sorry half asleep so may have missed the others!)

Surely it is not common? Is it me or is it unusual? Oh, and hi to everyone, didnt take mine for the trip but nice to see so many around... Anyone want to admit it was them????

Cheers,

Paul

I didn't see many Tivs on my travels in the last couple of days. What I did see was more army vehicles than ever before. Not the long convoys that you occasionally see but lots of individual Land Rovers, trucks and six self propelled guns. Are we about to invade France?

Not france Ted, but Irag, Afghanastan and every other poor bugger that Bush/Blair put on their To Do list!

Actually, I have a feeling there is an exercise starting shortly, not on Salisbury plain though!!

What time was the Blue Tuscan on the M25?

May have been me - took the car in to work for the first time on Wed. Leatherhead to Hemel (8am) and then back again (4:30pm)...

Andy,

Yeah, that will be the one then - The blue in real life is quite bright isnt it. The picture that you have on your profile doesnt do it any justice....

Saw you trundling in traffic on the M25 going clockwise around the M40 junction. I was going the other way (the worst journey in the world - A1M to J11 of the M25, so thats the M1, M40, M4 and M3 before I can get off!!).

Keep seeing that silver Y Reg Tuscan too...

Oh, and sorry Ted - should have said S4 and not S3 . Looks nice with the logos and the patterned stickers - very noticeable. Funny you didnt see any other TVRs that day because they were all in front of you. Probably less than a mile apart the lot.... Nightmare of a drive too...

Oh, well. Dont have to do it again until Monday, oh joy.

Cheers,

Paul

I use my Blue Griffith 500 every day up and down the M40, near the M25 junction, to and from work. I hardly see any.

Well on my trip in to work this morning I saw:

1 Caterham R500
1 Black Griff
1 Green Cerbera
1 Red Chimaera

All in the space of 10 minutes

I love driving through Ascot!!
I see the Cerbera most days, anyone on here?

Must be just the M25 area. Went to Manchester on Wed and back (to Warwickshire) yesterday, total TVR sightings = 1 a bright green Tuscan going North on the M6 when I was coming South. However those who (unlike me) put their cars away for the winter should be getting them out around now, I guess.

I've never understood this.

The general consensus on here and probably throughout the TVR community is the more these cars are used, he more reliable they are. Makes sense really. You leave any car sitting for a couple of weeks, a few months, a couple of years, when you start using it again things are going to be/go wrong! Oil seals rotten, grease dried up, breaks ceased, pully's stiff, blah blah blah!
So why do people keep putting their pride and joy in a garage over the winter?!?!?! The winter is 6 months long give or take a few weeks, so that 6 months that everything is sitting stationary. Suerly this is asking for trouble!!!

Certainly not going to use my Chim every day but ... as I work only two miles from home, if I have to go and see a customer in the south of our city (as I did yesterday) our house happens to be en-route, so its a quick blat home (about 2 mins), then park up, get the TVR out and fire over to the customers, then a nice rid eback to the office, then a quick blat home later.

Funny how I've managed to do this practically every day since I've had it ...

Well, that's quite a good period for invading France: it seems like nobody is in control of anything right now...
