When I bought my October 1993 Griffith 500 from Waldonway, in January, it came with the handook for the 4.0/4.3. I figured this wasn't much of a problem, as it appeared to be the original, with an appropriate service history, and I reasoned that, as it must have been among the first of the 500s, the updated handbook probably wasn't ready.

However, I've since realised I could be missing out on some important differences in information. Are the recommended tyre pressures the same? My book says 22 psi front & 24 back. (No PAS.)

I read in Steve Heath's book that the Griff 500 should have a 2nd blower, controlled by a switch on the driver's side, but there's no sign of one on mine. The wiring has obviously been mucked-around with in the past, having had a CD auto-changer in the boot, and additional speakers, and it looks like bits could be missing under the dashboard. Should all 500s have the 2nd blower? It's hot enough in traffic now - and I'm not relishing the traffic through Lyon on the way to Le Mans when it will be considerably hotter, without additional ventilation (in the footwell - obviously, roof will be off!) The dealer has not been much help - downright evasive - on this point.

Sorry for the diatribe!

As far as i can see in my handbook(96) tyre pressures are the same power assisted or not 22F and 24R with the 15" on the front and 16"s on the rear,i dont know if the 93 had the different size wheels and wether this makes much difference.
Cant help with the blower(is there a hole there??),but mine has one

As previously said, not all had the second blower (I think it was just the 1995 cars like Mr. Heath used to have)?

When they removed the second blower, I think they changed the plumbing as all 3 face vents and both footwell vents on my car all blow our hot/cold air as required (well as efficiently as a TVR usually does).

Blowers? Luxury! I had a 1992 4.0 Griff and there was no air coming out of one dash vent. I pulled it out and found it was connected to - nothing! My 97 Griff is OK, but for anything earlier than that, suggest you use the windows!
