Griffith 500 Battery
Discussion
Well - it's finally died !
The poor old battery is now 5 1/2 years old and cannot hold a change - only 10.28 volts after a 12 hour charging session.
Does anyone know the battery specification - I presume it's a gel type (not lead acid) and it's pretty heafty
in terms of amp rating. Has anyone bought one of these from say Halfords.....
Thanks

It is in the Griff bible.
It is in the sample chapter on my website. Basically a type 72 but beware they are many types of type 72 if you see what I mean.

Suggest you also get a battery conditioner if you only take it our at weekends. A quick run is just not enough, and changing the battery in a Griff is best avoided! I have an Airflow and it works a treat - in fact my battery is now holds a charge better than it used to. £45 well spent, just to avoid the weekly worry of 'Will it start?'.
