As you may know I have been trying to sell my Griff for some time now, and over the last few months have had my fair share of tire kickers, plus some genuine TVR lovers looking for cheaper cars, most of the time have gone for a 500..anyway... the mother of all tire kickers has just wasted my time... I've spent the last week conversing with him by mail, putting together photos, copies of documents, cars history.. the lot..gave him info on TVR's what to look out for....all for him to turn round to me and say after I questioned him about where he lived, and if he wanted to come and see the car..." No sorry mate can't at the moment I live in Colerado in the US".... what a complete and utter muppet!!! Any one else had such a nightmare with selling their car...?

I’ve had the same trying to sell my mk1 mini, lots of emails from all over the world, the thing is someone is now interested in America and is looking into the shipping costs, they may have thought they could get it in the country.

I like your use of the American spelling for 'tyre'!!

Not had your sort of problems, but I had one e mail about my M Roadster: 'what's your price in US dollars?'. You can imagine the claim for his money back when he had the car shipped over only to find the steering wheel was on the 'wrong' side!!

All part of the joys of selling a car I'm afraid, but the joys of the internet have certainly added a new and not entirely welcome international flavour!
