Haven't seen it in the flesh, so can't really comment.
Looks 'ok' in the picture, but possibly a tad OTT! Thats only my opinion though!

By the way, how did you get on with your fuel gauge in the end?

I've seen them on an S reg blue Griff. They look good. Mine has the other shiny stuff, just not the button covers. I can't make up my mind about adding the panel and covers.

I'm seeing the guy with the button covers next Friday 15th. If you don't have any success with your request before then let me know and I'll take along my digital camera and take some snaps for you.

I really fancy a carbon dash myself. Think it would look excellent with the aluminium buttons and maybe all blue LED's
Have no idea where to go to get the dash though, otherwise i'd order one today!

Cammers

Found this info on a previuos thread{alloy stalks on general tvr forum)
David Batty(01483 811995) at The Garage supplied darrenlens with a carbon dash for just under £300.
Theres also a couple of pics of some alloy stalks where you can see part of the dash.
Hope this helps and let me know how you get on if you decide to order one

Called David Batty today and ordered the carbon dash.
He said that they are made to order i.e not a stock item, so don't know how long it will take to arrive!
Just got to order the aluminium buttons now!

The price has gone up though since you bought your dash, Darrenlens. It costs £330 now!

Cammers, just had a look at your profile, nice colour I think the dash will look really nice in there. I just picked my car up from David and I only have to purchase a new alloy handbrake and my work is done on on the inside.

I take it that's excluding fitting? Or is it an all-in price?

Darren, Thanks for the compliment. Most people say "Why yellow?"
Not that i'm trying to copy all the mods you've done, but noticed on your profile that you appear to have clear side repeaters! I thought about getting some of these for my car, but am not sure what car they are borrowed from! Fiesta maybe???

Jon, Am pretty sure that the price doesn't include fitting. I will check when he gets back to me though!

At that price I'd be surprised if it did considering that the ally dash was a £300 option from the factory at build time.

I'd be really interested in knowing the "all in" price for both the carbon dash and the brushed alloy dash for a 97R Chimaera. I must remember to ask Dave when I talk to him next.

Cheers

Cammers, I picked them up at a local car store all they had on the box was Ford. They do lots of colours mine are grey.

My dash was without fitting, I don't know how much it was to fit as I had lots of stuff done at the same time (see car history). I take it yours has the wooden dash at the moment? Are you thinking of fitting it yourself or having David to fit it?

Darren, yep mine does have a wooden dash at the moment. It does need replacing, as it has a couple of annoying cracks next to the vents.
I do intend fitting the new dash myself. If it's going to take 4 weeks to arrive, then i'll start ordering the ally goodies and fit everything in one go!
Really fancy changing all the LED's for blue ones too.

Mine had a couple of cracks too. I thought the carbon would go with the car better than the wood. Make sure you send me a photo when its done.
