Will Tuscan 18" spiders fit my Griff?
Discussion
Ben, any wheel should fit any car provided you get the correct stud pattern, PCD and off-set. One things for sure though, they won't fit as supplied to TVR because the Tuscan/cerbera uses a 5 stud fixing and the Griffith has 4. I have no idea who makes these wheels so I guess you need to research that first, perhaps a call to TVR to ask the manufactuer. I expect they may not tell you though if they are supplied as a TVR design. Regards handling etc. there is tons of stuff on here about wheels - try the search facility. Basically some will say they trash the handling others reckon they are fine. There are few of us with larger wheels on our Griffiths, personally I have found no handling/suspension issues and they do allow bigger brakes Cheers Rich...
I read somewhere (maybe on Pistonheads) that TVR have told the Spider wheels suppliers that if they see them on any other car, the contract is cancelled.
Try www.performancealloys.com as they seem to think that they can get BBS RKs to fit!

Hi Ben
Was the car a dark grey/green J plate 4.3 with dark grey Tuscan spider alloys?
If so then it belongs to Neil Anderson at TVR and was featured in the Griff 500 review in Evo magazine last year. There was some discussion about this somewhere and the consensus was yes the Tuscan wheels can be fitted BUT all the hubs/uprights/etc would need to be sourced from a Tuscan or similar and machined to fit becasue of the 5 stud pattern and different offsets. Conclusion was that financially it was a no brainer!
Maybe some similar custom aftermarket ones could do the job but TVR's own are too much trouble.
Hope this helps

Ben, Pete - which issue of EVO? Just had a skim through my back copies and couldn't see it. Incidentally, I saw Neill's car at Silverstone back in '96 when he the had 16" 4.2 Cerbera wheels on it - spoke to Neill a while later and he said it was used as a test bed for the Cerbera suspension, that's why it has 5 stud hubs.
