I have recently had the battery out of my 93 Griff for about a week, and when I put it back in and tried to fire her up - nothing!
The battery is fully charged and the fuel pump came on, and I could hear a single click when I tried to start the engine, which I guess is the starter solenoid operating. Could it be a sticking starter motor or is it possibly something to do with the immobiliser? Any advice would be most welcome!

Must admit it sounds like the starter sticking.
Have you tried giving it a tap with something not too damaging while you get someone to try turning it over.

Also check the fuse under the bottom of the car, next to the starter motor in the black plastic box. They also corrode

If the starter gear is engaged with the flywheel and stuck in this position then rocking the car in gear (2nd) may unstick it. Easy enough to try .
