Who bought this car new ?
Discussion
Do you know who was the original supplying dealer. If you are not sure their name may still be on the bottom of the rear number plate if its hasn't ben changed. They almost certainly will be able to tell you who the first owner was. They probably have the sevicing on their records too , assuming the dealer isn't one of the many that has changed/gone over the years, failing that the factory should be able to supply the details, I think for a £30 fee

Thanks! I've spoken to the DVLA and you are correct, but I forgot to ask if that included contact details?
It does, but only those registered to the DVLA at the time. If the owner has moved since, you might find a dead end. It's worth writing to previous owners' addresses anyway though (enclose an SAE) as mail may still be being forwarded even if they have moved.

Thanks Harry, I've already spoken to Kerridges in Suffolk which is where the car was purchased new, they have no record of the original owner I bought the car from a chap who had it serviced there and that is the only name they have on file.
