Just wondering if my internal security door lock button is unique; when inside the car will press it and then doors lock so no car jacking bugger can nick said car...usefull when travelling through certain undesirable parts of London.

However I can't then turn it off! So if I get out of car, I'm not able to get back in without key fob, unless roof is down then can just lean in and open door- just another TVR quirk?

Also have discovered neither reversing light works- so presume it's the fuse for both to be out- but otherwise not sure what it can be other than bulbs?

Also have noticed that rear brake lights dont come on until the pedal is pressed hard, which is a bit of a pain when in traffic etc when only slight pressure is needed.

Another little annoyance is with the fuel gauge- when full it only shows half so never quite sure how much I have left when it gets into the red- but will soon learn through experience

Anyway all of the above worth it for the admiring looks, fantastic sound of that 4.3 and wondefull torque/power- just need it to be sunny on a weekend for a change!

If you're sure it's full, then you should get about 200 miles per tank. I'd keep a note of mileage covered since re-filling and carry a spare fuel can in the boot until you're confident with the gauge.

Reversing lights not working will probably be a dodgy switch on the gearbox/linkage - mine will only come on if I push on the gearlever slightly while reversing/MOT testing. They all do that, sir...
The brake lights work off a switch on the pedal (I think????), so that might just need adjusting.
If the central locking locks permenantly when you press the dash button I wouldn't worry about it - from the number of passengers I've had who try and pull the outer door handle up (and nearly off) instead of pushing, I think a car jacker would take a week to get in anyway...

Hmm?!?

Opening the door (from the inside obviously!) should work it - in case you were expecting it to be an on-off switch, a second push of the button doesn't do anything.

I pressed the button in mine when I first got the car and I seem to remember it doing the same thing, I seem to remember that by locking and then unlocking it (using the fob), it overrode the switch which is what you've found.

I suppose it's worth having but I've only used it once when I was being curious.

Opening the doors from the inside didn't work on mine if that answers your question?

edited to add the bit at the end
