Apparently to carry out the factory spider/brake upgrade on my griff 4ltr, it would need to have the 500 calipers and bearing carriers at the rear.
Does anyone know what these are from so I could source them?

TVR. The rear housings etc are made by TVR.

Hmm was told by TVR that I should be able to source them , my rear calipers say Ford and I believe the
bearing carriers to be so too.

Did TVR start making the carriers for the 500?

Anyone have the time to take a look at theirs and get the part numbers???
Or pics?

What are we talking about here? The 500 has a larger disc and needs the calliper to be moved out and it is the calliper housing/upright that is different so that the unit is moved out. You have to replace all this to fit the bigger 500 units which is whay I said TVR.
That upright is nothing like a Ford one although it may have some Ford bits in it. It is not clear which bits that TVR need to have change to fit the kit. As far as I am aware the callipers are the same (could be wrong but they have the same brake pad). To be honest, I would talk to one of the TVR salvage guys and get the 500 kit from them. Probably a lot easier in the long run.

The bit I would need is the bearing carrier that bolts to the TVR manufactured upright. As you said this also sets the caliper further out for the wider disk.
I am also informed that the caliper is different to take the extra width of the vented disk.
Which TVR breakers could I contact ,as I didnt know of many?
Thanks for your help

Try www.bellhillgarage.co.uk/ and also Douglas Valley.

Post 96 Chimaeras have the same brakes as the 500 as well. The Calliper is wider as you say although it is only a few mm. I had forgotten about the venting...

No. The rear brakes are pretty scarce as they were only fitted to a few Fords (something like a Ford Sierra Saphire Cosworth 4x4 in blue made on a Wednesday)and the chances are that if TVR can't source them then they are not available.

I had the upgrade done recently, if you are needing my original 5.0L calipers, give us a call. I also have the pads and discs (less than 1,000 miles use).
