Ever thought of an MP3 head unit instead. I swapped to one of these, because getting the changer replaced was expensive and subject to long lead times. I've not regretted it. The sound quality is good, with no noticeable difference from the old autochanger. I also gained boot space and can store more albums than an autochanger on one CD in MP3 format.

I had a CD Autochanger situated on top on the Tank, does actually hinder the roof storage a little, plus mine was tricky when changing the CD Cartridge. Ended up ripping it out and just going for a CD Head Unit instead.
If I was totally honest though, I've never turned the Stereo on since having the car!!!! Just fills the hole..
As far as I am concerned the Griff makes it's own music!!!

Second that. But if you want to spoil the sound with ICE, mine was fitted from new with the changer behind the passenger seat, and bolted through to the underneath. TVR stereos normally go in a box in the spare bedroom, but after 20 minutes trying to get this b*stard out I decided to leave it.
I did try listening to the stereo in a 4.0 Griff once, but with the roof down and with speeds varying from 30 - 70, I spent most of my time turning the volume up and down to compensate. So back in the box it went!
I also put in an MP3 head unit like Steve T and it has been brilliant. It's a Pioneer one so fitting took 5 minutes and I use free Real One software to encode the MP3 files from CD albums - I can fit about 250 tracks on 1 CD. It cost me about £130 which is only slightly more than an autochanger on its own. Depends if you have a computer to make the MP3 files and can be bothered to do it, but I reckon it won't be long before MP3 head units are standard.
Of course you could get an MP3 autochanger and then you could have 1500 tracks already loaded, if you can think of that much good music

p.s. The 4.0 must be very quiet if you can't hear the V8 engine over the radio
