Done a search for this but can't find anything in the archives. So....

I was wondering how much aftermarket warranties were for TVR's - particularly Griffiths - who does them, how do they work and are they effective at covering unforseen costs?

My current car's warranty is £399, including pan European breakdown cover (courtesy car included). Its also pretty good at picking up costs - but then it is an extended manufacturers warranty.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Andy

The best quote relating to a warranty claim, came from a mate I used to work with. A few weeks after he bought a jap box it broke down (can't remember what). So he went back to the garage

My Mate "I know the only thing this warranty covers me for, is if I am made pregnant by a male Camel, but as a good will gesture could you repair it for me"

Garage "I see you've read the small print sir"

They did do the repair FOC

I like that one!!

I didn't find the previous thread as I only searched general TVR and Griffith.

It seems that people's experience with warranties is mixed - might be worth it for the first year whilst you get to know your car - then take the risk thereafter if its proving reliable.
