To cure slight steering wheel wobble I had new front discs fitted, then wheels balanced, all ok at low speed, except there is still a slight wobble above 70 mph. Anyone got any suggestions?

Sounds like the wheels still need balancing. Rich... or doing better!

Are your wheels round?!

I once hit a pot hole and bent a rim (not on the TVR) which caused wheel wobble. Maybe even a slight ding could cause wobble at high speeds.

Wheel bearings/ball joints OK?

Or it could be that the tolerances used in balancing are 'good enough' (ie up to 70mph), but not so good at 70+.

The reason I say this is because I used to have an anoying wobble at around 65/80 (you could drive through it though) obviously the wheels had been balanced but those nice chaps at Racing Green had a go with their new balancing machine and it's now perfect! (thanks Martin). It is quite the most sofisticated bit of balancing kit I have ever seen. If you are in the South they may be worth a call. Rich...

How old is your car?
It could very well be wear on the steering rack , don'twant to alarm you but you have tried all the obvious. The older cars do suffer from worn racks.

On reading the Bible when recently changing a Steering UJ if you dont make sure that everything goes back on exactly as it comes off, Lining up wise.
This can cause the car to pull to one side. Just another thought if it isnt one of the others.
Does anyone know if the wheel Geometry is wrong wether this would cause this too??
