Gemini Alarm on '92 4.3 Griffith
Discussion
Any advice?
Battery was low having sat unused for a week - blipper unlocked car but didn't disarm alarm/immobiliser - I charged battery in-situ for a few days - blipper still won't disarm alarm - tried new battery in blipper - alarm still activates and fuel pump, etc. disabled - tried holding blipper for four seconds, etc, etc.
What next? - Ideas welcomed.

The battery on mine went flat, I tried boost charging and it seemed to have the same symptoms as yours .To cure it I powered down the whole system (I have a cutout switch fitted my main power cable if you don't the live battery lead can be disconnected)leave for a couple of seconds and then reconnecte.I then waited a couple of seconds locked then unlocked the car and everything had reset and was ok.

Success - thanks to the power of PistonHeads.
I removed the cut-off switch (aftermarket fitment I think) for a few minutes, then refitted, blipped a few times and hey presto. Great to hear that V8 burble again.
Must remember to use my Accumate charger next time I leave it for a few days. Thanks again.

Help!! Having unfortunately drained the battery (not me! - let a mate have a go in it this morning (92 4 griff) because he's thinking of buying one and he forgot to turn the lights, stero etc off, grrrrr that's the last time!). However the problem is that now the blipper does not disengage the gemini alarm. I can open the doors but when I go to start the car I just get a buzzing noise rather than the growl into life! If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it as I need it for work, now!
Thanks in advance

Spotlight,
Get this problem on mine - or rather got it - I may have it resolved. The only way to reset the alarm is to disconnect the battery (pain in the whatsit as in passenger footwell) and then wait a short time before reconnecting. Assuming you haven't worn the battery flat, then need to arm/disarm to make sure OK before trying to start. If alarm goes off when connecting battery - disconnect again and leave off for a longer period.
According to the company that looks after mine there is a battery drain that could be setting off the alarm when the battery is low - easiest solution was to fit a battery isolator switch. Only used it once since having it but appears to work. Only downside is having to reset the clock everytime I use it.
Hope this helps.
