Just in the final stages of completing my Griffith 500 rebuild, and want to replace the carpets.Had a look in the sprint mag and found the number of a trimmer (AJ Trimming) So I phoned him up and told him what I wanted doing. I told him that I would supply the carpet,so all he needed to do was edge it and stick it to the shell. The car is stripped, so no work for him to do there. He said he would be delighted to do the job and would charge £800 for the labourI then had a sit down and a couple of large whiskys. How much!!!and I'm supplying the carpet. Its only got two seats, and most of the carpet is covered with consoles etc.I live in the Beaconsfield area, so if any one knows a good trimmer that would be prepared to do the job, please let me know.

A&R Pound, Baldock, Herts, ask for Fred, 01462 892 704.

Comes recommended by more than one TVR owner and when I phoned him last week suggested he would charge £200 to £250 but was booked til mid December which suggests he's pretty hot. Call him for details.

Good luck

hello fella's.The garage that I bought my Griff 400 from had new carpets fitted to the car just before collected it. The guy said it set him back including carpets about £600 which I think is pretty steep but the job was done well and the Griff looks great

Any idea who that was and where he is located? One problem I have is that the car will have to be trailered,so ideally it doesn't want to be too far. Also time is not on my side as it's going to Earls Court on 11th-14th December for a show.I need to be efficient as I can in order to get it completed.

I got new carpets including the door inserts done for £400 from Martrim in Cheshire... he did an excellent job. Christopher Neils quoted £900 and the funny thing is that they actually farm the trim work out to Martrim in the first place .. £500 profit for no work!!
