..with a big bulge in the bonnet, like a turbo bulge.. and a set of 3 or 4 meshed vents about 8"-10" long spaced down either side of the bulge (which also had a meshed vent in the front of it), therefore venting most of the top half of the Bonnet/Engine..

Never seen one like that before.. anyone know what model it was..??

Cheers
Matt

Yeah - I think so.

It belongs to a guy named Mike (Pete Humphries knows him well I think). A saw it at the Curburough sprint not so long ago and believe its running modified inlets with an enlarged plennum.

As I recall, Pete told me the hump was modelled in GRP from the bonnet of an original 1960's Griffith.

Cheers

Thanks for the info... I was wondering what it was as you can imagine...

I have to say, it did spoil the lines of the car a bit though I'm afraid

Cheers

I think (and I may be wrong!), that this was the Griff prepared by Broughtons (Cheltenham) and runs on carbs. It was an absolute beast of a car and struggled to put the power down. It was in the workshop when I bought my 500 Griff from them.

They've (Broughtons) quit TVR now, did you know.. I think they got a bit bored of having them back all the time to put bits back on them/fix them they're just doing Bentley, RR and Aston Martin now I think..

Cheers,
Matt
