I have noticed lately that the driverside window on my 98 Griff 500 seemed to have dropped a little and the passenger side window is tilting away at the back. Can I rectify this somehow and make them fit nice and snug under the rubber seal on the roof? As I think that if they are left like this they will let in the rain.
Any input would be appreciated.

Ah, this old chestnut!

There's an adjustment you can make by finding a screw hidden about half way back along the top of the door. When I say "hidden" it's under the fancy draught-proof type stuff when you look down on the door from above.....

If you lower the window all the way, you should then be able to see on the inside edge of the door, about 1 third from the end of the door that does not have a hinge a screw. You may need to have a good look as the draft excluder conceals mine quite well. Simply use a screw driver to adjust up or down to change the fit of the window.

Thanks David and beano500. I will give that a bash when I've got ten minutes. Does this mean that I can adjust the window heights without taking the door trim off?

Hi all

I had a similar problem with mine 5-6 months back along with a slow operating window. Pulled out the door interior pulled out the sealed motor & gearbox.
I 'unsealed' the gearbox and found the grease had solidified. Removed all and repacked with grease and re-installed. Was v happy myself, until i found the window still didn't quite fully close. I made a few adjustments, which made some improvement, but wasn't perfect. I lived with it until one day I found the gap miraculously had gone. I eventually realised that if u have the roof panel just very slightly out of alignment it can make all the difference.
