One of my Griff 500 wheels has developed dull green-grey patches (I assume where the laquer has worn off). Anybody kow where can I get this sorted?

I took mine to Elite wheels in Reading (Berks) for referbishment, they look superb now. I think the cost was about £40 a wheel, however this probably varies depending on the requirements. My fronts were a bit rimmed... They sent them away for about two days and lent me a set of wheels to get me about (Ford steel rims, the car never looked so good - interesting handling aswell!!) The number is 0118 9504100. Cheers, Graham

Forgot to say I think they recommend getting all the wheels done as obviously they can't get an exact match to the original finish. So it may work out cheaper to get a new one from TVR (presuming that would match)? Graham

Will try to get number, the bloke I bought my Jeep from had it and I can't get hold of him. Apparently the guy who does it is mad and Irish but does a brilliant job!

There is a company called Pristine near Milton Keynes. They re-finished a set of 17" wheels of my every day car. They do an excellent job, including re-building curbed rims etc. A quantum leap from the shot blast and re-spray boys who come to your house. They powder coat rather than spray paint, for example. Not the cheapest, but the wheels looked brand new. I can't find the tel. no. at the moment, I will post it if I find it.

His name is Kevin and he's on 0966 400395 Bear in mind that he needs at least a large garage to work in, and he produces dust, paint fumes and lots of swearing! This is not something I would advise in the corner of the underground carpark at work for instance. Very good at what he does though - reckon on about £150 to refurb a set of wheels.
