Dial illumination
Discussion
Hi people
I've got a niggling question which I hope can be answered here.
I've got a 98 500 with white/cream dials, the speedo of which has a trip counter and oil/charge lights at the bottom. My question is should the (night) illumination of the speedo be considerably dimmer at the bottom than the top? All other dials are evenly (and brightly) lit and it actually looks as if one bulb has blown in the speedo. The dealer I bought the car from assured me that this was normal, but I have MANY reasons to treat his advice as dubious at best, so I'm after some unbiased knowledge.
Thanks in advance
Rod

Ive gone LEDs and you can balance it up by angling the LEDs. Some dials are a bit tricky(Mel) but mine and others have been quite easy. Mine being ally dash and black interior, white LEDs look great, also white LED interior light, funky !!
...not to mention the blue neons.....
