Muscular 5.2 Engine upgrade for Chimaera/griffith
Discussion
Has anyone some experience upgrading his engine with the 5.2 engine from V8 developments (www.v8developments.co.uk/).
I'd like to upgrade my 4.0 HC Chim with some real muscle stuff. Last year I met a nice bloke in Zolder who showed me his 5.2 upgrades chim. He told me that it took him 6 monthes to have this engine running correctly and that one of his friend had his Chim that had caught fire after the same conversion !!! Very appealing.

The all-knowing Steve Heath is your man for advice on engine upgrades. He's sprints a wedge with a lunatic spec 5.2, although he's also had to upgrade almost every other piece of running gear to cope with the power increase.
If you're considering dropping a 5.2 into a 4 litre Chimaera, then be prepared to upgrade the suspension, brakes, clutch, driveshafts, etc to cope. Steve wrote an article in Sprint a couple of months ago much to this effect.
There's no doubt that this isn't going to be a cheap upgrade, certainly it would be cheaper to upgrade to a Cerbera 4.5, but then that would be boring
