My 1992 griff is dead. The battery is OK and there is spark to the HT but no further. The engine turns over but will not fire and the fuel pump seems to work. Any ideas please

Not had this problem with my Griff but did have something similar happen on my S3. When it was finally sorted it turned out to be a broken wire to one of the lambda sensors that feed info to the engine management system. I'm really not a car techy type bloke so I may be totally wrong, hopefully someone else on here will be able to give more advice.

Good luck

When I had my Griff and it had the same symptoms as you describe it was a fried coil. Appararently not an uncommon occurence. Pulled the lead off the coil and oil spewed out. Fortunately it was easy to replace, even for a mechanical retard such as I.
