Hi all,
Anyone taken off the front indicators? i will be attempting to do this at the weekend and wouldn't mind knowing the correct procedure and any tips....
preferably not invloving hammers

Andy Lockett did this on his Chim... but used the percussive maintainance approach...

Being built for a tank, aren't they the completely indestructible part of the car? You have to the rest of the car away from them?

Use a tea towel to protect it...

Drop Andy Lockett a line and ask him how he did it... but bear in mind the Griff ones MAY be different to the Chim!

I have done this and replaced with nice clear ones. I put cloth over the front of the indicators and thumped them out (humanpercussiveapproach). They are only held in with a thin bead of silcone. They practically fell out.

I think a hammer will work fine, I just used "carefully" a very sharp knife to cut through the sealant first, that broke its adhesion and made it easy to push through with thumbs. I also pulled allot away from the back with my fingers first.
