My new Griff lasted exactly 4 days before breaking down!! I was a tad concerned about TVR reliability, but this was hilarious.
Freak failure too - the fuel pump stopped working so I called out the AA (don't know the car well enough to hack about with the electrics yet). I suspected the relay, but they all turned out OK, as did the fuses. Then the AA guy's torch turned off by accident and he spotted the fuel pump fuse arcing in the dark. Pulled it out and the fuse legs weren't parallel (must have been forced in) and were shorting out. New fuse and everything's cool.

Normally this sort of thing would make me lose confidence in the car, but for some strange reason it hasn't, I still love it.

Then again, those 3 teenage girls in Tunbridge Wells cheering as I revved the engine.... worth its weight in gold!!

Very lucky to spot that one - the test that the AA guys do to check the fuses (continuity test on the top of the fuse) passed OK as the fuse hadn't blown. But since one of the legs was making a better contact with the other leg than with the fuse socket, no appreciable current was passing.

I was slightly concerned that the arcing could have caused a fire but the AA guy said it'd be unlikely.

All's well now though - drove down to Brighton today, fantastic drive
