I have posted a few topics here about buying a TVR.

I was then put off by all the seemingly endless amount of problems that seem to occur.

I went thinking about a Boxster S but somehow it would never be the same.

SO...

I am back to TVR and will complement that with a E36 M3 for everyday use.

My problem is after a year I will export both cars to Australia and terrorise unsuspecting Aussies with the awesome sounds of Blackpool's finest but...
with no TVR dealer support there I need the most reliable TVR I can get.

Got between 15 - 20K depending on condition etc but am probably leaning towards 97/98 4.5 Chimeara.

What are everyone's thoughts on Chimeara/Griffith reliability and best years/condition/best place to buy. What do YOU think is best...

I know it will come down to individual tastes and experiences but your thoughts are very valued, because I know I will fall in love with the first I drive.

There are TVRs in Oz - I am sure I have read a thread or two on here about cars down under. This being the case there is sure to be someone recognised as a specialist for servicing and support.

Sorry this is not much more than a "giving hope" posting but I'm sure one of the regulars here will be able to point you in the right direction.
