OK, I've figured what the buttons do except the one set under the dash just to the left of the steering column. Can anyone tell me what that one does ?

Sounds like the one that switches off the background illumination for the dials (when the lights are on). Useful if you're parked on the roadside at night.

It is the dash light switch - unless you've got a fan mod in which case it might control the fan over-ride.

Now you didn't cheat and look them up in the manual did you?

Yup, you've probably found "ultra-stealth mode in total darkness switch" for the dial non-illumination. A word of warning. Because it doesn't get used very much, when I hit mine for the first time it worked.....

.....but wouldn't work at second hit to illuminate the dash again - well not for a lot of prodding at 80 on a deserted country lane with possible speed cameras round the next bend anyway!!!

Shawn, the handbook is a A5 sized leather ring binder - rather like a filofax, containing the handbook and service record details etc. I'd ask the previous owner where it is? Rich...

Dont get too excited about the prospect of getting the "manual". The factory handbook is what is being referred to and its pretty useless, although you do want it for the servicing record. Go and buy Steve Heath's book: The TVR Griffith and Chimaera.

Incidentally, when I bought my Griff last year I foolishly ordered Steve's book through Amazon. I waited 3 weeks to be told that I would have to wait another 30 days as supply was restricted. Cancelled the order and get it through the TVRCC in about 3 days! So join the club if you havent already.

All righty, I have the manual (the pages were at the back behind the stamps). Ok, now I see what all the buttons do.
