You may recall I had some problems after an engine out job. All of a sudden I lost a lot of power. After almost a year of searching and probing, it's finally sorted: it was the cam after all (although dealer thought it was o.k. after an inspection from below. But when they took it out it was clearly worn).

Got the car back last week and did some testing with the new cam (P404 from V8 Dev.):

40-100 mph in third gear:
standard 500: 8 s.
with M. Adams chip: 7,6 s.
with twin plenum & P404 cam: 6,6 s. (!)

In comparison, a Cerb 4.2/4.5 was tested at 7,3 s.

You understand: I'm very happy. Also, the engine sounds more aggressive now.

A special thanks to Tim and Mark for sticking with me.

Have you had the car on a rolling road or engine dyno?

If so, what figures did it produce???

I had it on the RR back in May, that's where we discovered something was wrong. Turned out to be the cam. At that time it produced 250 bhp and 300 lbs torque. 40-100 mph in third took 8,5 s. It had a really hard time revving above 4,500 rpm.

No RR figures after the repairs unfortunately, maybe next year. However, the results speak for themselves: it's 2 seconds faster now (over 20%)!

That’s very quick has it not made it rough to drive slowly?

It's a bit rougher below 1,500 rpm. Maybe Mark's new chip (still to come, current performance is with the old chip) will help a bit, but it will still be rougher than the standard cam (so I'm told). Above 1,500 rpm it's smoother at every level than my old cam (but that one was worn).
