Engine won't start when it's hot
Discussion
I've started getting a re-occuring problem when the engine won't start after it's been running for more than about 15 minutes. Turn it off to get some petrol say, try and re-start and it won't. I had the starter motor over-hauled(whatever that involves ) back in March and a new battery fitted, the problem seemed to go away but now the weather's a bit hotter, it's started doing it again. If I leave the engine to cool for about 10 to 15 mins it starts. Any one know why and what the remedy is?
Yeah but the starter was Re-furbed in march, surely it cant be going allready even though it sounds like it.
Read some one on here once upgrade the wire that feeds the starter as his theory was this was breaking down under the heat, he said it worked ok after he done this. Not sure about this theory my self but might be worth ago.
