What happens when you guys 'n gals put your griffs on absolute full lock and move away to turn? Mine make a sort of juddery noise and the car sort of shifts sideways a bit as though the suspension is loose...is this normal?

Mine does that when reversing, but I think "they all do that, sir".

Mine's a chimaera, it also does that. thank goodness yours does it aswell, even tho it's a griff, but i asume that the suspension/steering is the same. i thought it was a problem.

When i put my chim on full lock and move off, the back end swings out, and i get a tyre squealing and smoke!!!! hee hee

I think your noise sounds like the lsd locking... i've noticed mine doing it when i reverse... sounds feels like the weels are going to fall off..

Yep my Griff does that too, I used to have a Fourtrak a few years ago and that used to do it as well.

I think I know what this is. I'm no engineer, mind.
When you apply full lock, both wheels turn through x degrees. The front of the car then sets off around its circle. The outside wheel needs to follow a larger radius circle than the inside. Causing the tyres to skip occasionally.
I think that's about right. Doubtless those more knowledgeable will tear that idea to shreds.

Mine also does this, went away when I replaced the front tyres last summer but has come back again now.
