The wishbone bushes on my 95 Griff 500 are shot and require replacement anyone any thoughts or experience regarding which type to use,are there any benifits to using polyurethane bushes like powerflex or would it be wiser to stick with standard? Any other ideas for improving the suspension dampers, ride heights etc much appreciated.

Budd,

I also have a 95 Griff. I had the old standard bushes replaced with harder poly bushes a while back now and would recommend this as it improves the feel and response of the car IMHO. Speaking to other Griff owners in the Cambridgeshire area of the club it seems that most have had poly bushes fitted and all appear to recommend this.

I have also now had Ohlins suspension fitted and this has moved the handling up into a different league (see other posts on the subject). However, the cost of this is over £2000 for all 4 corners. The platform is now fully adjustable for ride height, bump and rebound. But the factory settings do appear to provide the best overall set up for a road going Griff. I believe that alternative uprated shocks/springs are available from Nitron at a lower cost than Ohlins and are also well thought of.
