Rolling Road tune up questions
Discussion
After owning the Griff a few months now I'm considering having Mark Adams check everything is running well on the rolling road. Everything seems to be fine so it's not really to cure any problems, It's just that having spoke to the previous owner it hasn't been checked before.
I just basically want to make sure it's running as well as possible so would anyone have any idea on how much these sessions cost and how long they take?
Unfortunately my budget won't currently stretch to any modifications so that's out the window but I'd still like to see what shape it's in. Would anyone recommend doing this or as everything's currently OK should I just save my money?
Cheers - Chris

Dave Walker of Emerald cams in Suffolk charges £40/hour. He mostly does mapping work now but you could probably persuade him to fit you in, total cost might be two hours (plus VAT). I seem to recall Power Engineering charge a minimum amount for their rolling road and then you have to pay Mark Adams separately too.

Hi Chris - I know it's tempting, but as the old adage goes, "if it ain't broke..."
It is running fine you say, and presumably, like me you are more than happy with it.
What would you do if a rolling road specialist turns round and says - hmm, it's ok, but maybe a little down on power...
Now you have a quandry, not to mention sleepless nights and probably in the not too distant future a lighter wallet.
I'm sure there are quicker 500s than mine out there, but all the time mine still scares me Sh**less and brings a grin to my face, I'll let sleeping thoughts lie

Chris, I must agree with you. I had my "fine running" Griffith checked on a rolling road and it was found to have 3 blocked injectors. It will also give an indication if there are any other problems. Also, while your at it get the wheel alignment checked, it transformed the handling of the car.
But as Burriana says, be prepared to spend some money.
For your info. I used Austec Racing in Crawley, 01293 531080 (they advertise here), they have their own R/R and laser alignment thingy. Excellent service from enthusiastic people.
