I am trying to trace an incessant tapping noise coming from my griff.
Its there when the cars stopped, engine off but ignition on.
Don't think its the fan catching or a clicking relay.
Any ideas as to the cause Chaps.

The fuel pump makes a clicking noise when switched on. This is normal. Not hearing it indicates a problem!

A clue as to location might be helpful...

The sounds is like rubbing sound coming from the passager foot well. If the car wasn,t stationery I would have said if was something rubbing on the suspension.
Its that sort of noise. Could be interference from the door speaker may be.
Its loud enough to hear when the engines running at tickover.
Seems a bit loud for the fuel pump although I suppose it could be.
As a new griff owner i am still finding my way round things and noises etc.

this is going to sound daft but i think my griff had the same thing

if you get a noise as described it could be of the doors needs adjustment as the door switches get pressed in and the solenoids?? make a chattering / knocking noise??

Perhaps this is it??

Check that the switch is tightly fixed. There should be a little pad that probably has dropped off which pushes on the switch. The lock itself can also become loose. Tighten up the screws and that's sorted. Loctite them and you won't have the problem again.
