Just to add a little diversity - I think these lights spoil the rear-end of what is a beautiful car. They look very kit-car/halfords/max-power-do-it-yourself to me.
The first time I saw a Griff with these lights I asked the dealer whether some muppet had fitter them after-market, and he replied that they we the special edition, last ones made etc etc.
Guess you're probably gonna hate me now
Thanks for the pic BB.Visted Jason at TVRbodyshop and liked what I saw - I've got the car booked in with him early July for the blended rear light conversion.I picked up my car from Peninsular last night following a service and exhaust mod ( pre -cats out and straight through rear pipes )and am just about to head up to Combe from Bath to hopefully meet some of the guys in the flesh!
Tiny - has having the straight through exhaust made a massive difference to the sound?
I had Joolz take all the sound proofing out of the middle box and leave the perforated pipes in, which was a significant improvement in sound... just don't know whether putting straight through pipes on would make that much difference?

Body coloured calk around the light pod would look nice...I would be pretty dissapointed if the grouting on my kitchen tiles was this uneven...sorry BB for not sounding so enthusiastic. Still, I have never liked the rear light mod on the Griff...I think I would have tried a bit harder to find some smoked Cavalier rear lenses...there are plenty round here, mostly in lay-bys
Great that you got the Griff back on the road. All you need now is a dust cover to keep that new paint job clean whilst you keep the car in the garage next winter
Just teasing

I like it a whole lot - those square '80s style Cav rear lights always have been the one thing I didn't like about the Griff.
Still not sure about Griff vs. Chimaera - I'll probably still have at least a year and a half to make up my mind. The existence of the rear light conversion (how much £ by the way?) and the Spiders coming with the factory brake/wheel upgrade seeming to work better with the lines of the Griffith make me lean towards that one at the moment.
Realistically, I guess it'll all depend on the actual cars within my price range...

Rear lights - I think the blended lights look a lot more integrated than the last 100 SE or the removable/sealed in pod solution -I'll post a pic when it's done ( cost is £795+ VAT )
Straight Pipes - I havn't heard the perforated mod but mine sounds significantly better than it did with the standard exhaust and with no loss of power - I think having the precats out helps this.
Factory wheels - am very tempted by this and will probably go for it together with Nitrons.
good to see so many Griffs up at Combe today
