how do you get to the handbrake ratchet?

My handbrake has popped of the ratchet.

Can anyone help me by explaining how you get into it?

Sounds like you need to lift the centre console which can be tricky,at the rear of the console cover underneath are 4 10mm nuts that attach it to the rear shelf, undo these, release the handbrake cable so the lever stands as vertical as possible then pull the console cover up and slide back, watch the fan/window wiring at the front and release if required,you can then get at the lever gaiter and the handbrake mechanism.
