You do need S1358 (Product code is S1358-170). It only comes in 5L tins at £31.44.

Suppliers:

Adesco: 26 Orgreave Close, Handsworth, Sheffield 0114 269 1777

SBA: Leicester 0116 254 1262

01782 591 100 and ask to be put through to Dunlop Industrial Adhesives for stockist details if neither of these are any good.

However, this was used underbonnet on my Elan. It's not really suitable for the purpose so I replaced it with self-adhesive mat from NF Auto Developments (sorry, can't find details but they advertise in Kit Car Magazine)

Found it:
NF Auto Developments,
Redlands,
Lindridge Lane, Staplehurst, Kent.
TN12 0JJ.

I just used Silkoset on mine, and it seems to have done the trick.

Silcoset operating temps: -60 to 200C
should be fine from your purpose, but keep it away from the exhaust. Be aware that if you do use Silcoset you'll never get the bugger off (not sure why you'd want to though ?) and if you get any on your paintwork it's not a simple matter of wiping it off with a bit of white spirit like with the Dunlop product. Hope this helps.

Any idea where I can get my hands this fine sounding Silkoset stuff?

The product you need is (I think) Silcoset 153 Acetoxy Cure sealant adhesive available mail order from IOS:

Telephone : (01224) 874064
Fax : (01224) 874064

at £12.19 +vat and delivery for a 310ml cartridge.
The only problem with Silcoset I can foresee is the difficulty in getting the mating services sufficiently free from oil.
You could also try SBA in Leicester (see earlier post) for 1003 this is the same product, just unbranded.
