Oil filter

Hi girls and boys, gonna change oil this weekend, just want to make sure. The oil filter is standard V8 Land/Range Rover isnt it.

Don't count on it, there are umpteen variations. Also be aware of the oil pump priming issue if you haven't done a Rover V8 before. Details in Steve Heath's Griff/Chimaera 'bible' of course.

Ok, I have read that section but I couldnt remember what it said about the filter. Its an early Griff 500 non serpentine if that helps.

Err no. Best thing is to look at the one that is fitted, get the number and use that. MEasure the diameter and height as often alternatives will have different dimensions and will not fit.
