Stereo front ...

Like a dickhead I left the car with the roof off overnight and left the front of the stereo in the glovebox.

The alarm was on but never sounded when they reached in and had it away ... along with my Oakleys. F*cking scrotes ... but it is mine own fault.

Anyone got a front and no back ??? (unlikely, but worth a chance) for a factory fitted Pioneer ??? Will have model number tomorrow.

bit late, but i would recommend the electric glovebox from modwise as it will lock it on the ignition

Have you tried ringing pioneer direct, they may be able to help.

I'm gonna see whether I can order a new front.... will let you know etc ..

Had to take the stereo out now ... thinking being that they may come back for the rest. I shall sleep lightly tonight ...

If not I'll resort to Ebay.

Must have been opportunist kids as they didn't touch anything except the contents of the glove box and open the bonnet trying I think to open the boot.

Ah well, lesson learnt etc..

Worth looking in the rubbish bins, waste ground, etc. within a half mile radius - kids who steal often just throw things away, particularly when they realise it's useless on it's own. Ask some of the local kids to keep their eyes peeled, ask questions, etc. - kids have their own little information networks. Offer a reward for it's return - no questions asked.

Now off to start bidding on Ebay for a new stereo ... can't bare the thought of Le Mans without tunes !!!!! Even with the V8 soundtrack

sorry to hear of your loss mon ami. I had an alpine face plate stolen as well as the contents of a house when i was a student. Theses face plates are normally coded so are absolutely useless on other base units. I will probably be selling my pioneer from a v reg griff soon as my alpine is far better head unit. i use Hewitts car audio in Hove, regarded as the best in the country, especially for problems like yours.

Went onto Ebay and bought myself a new upgrade ... apparently its very good.

As far as I am concerned it plays music. My mate reckons its great for the money. I reckon its a stereo !
