I'm in the middle of replacing my dashboard. Shpub's bible has been very useful but I've hit a snag. I can't get the speedo and rev counter out of the old dash. All other instruments were fine -release cables and bracket and the instrument popped out through the front of the dash. But i've removed connections and removed bracket thingy from both speedo and rev counter but they'll not come out. Don't want to force them but has anyone experience of this job. Advice welcomed.

PS Shub - how do I lower the steering wheel/column - can't find the two bolts referred to in bible. Managed to get dash out past lowered wheel by removing top cowling but would like more room when putting 'new' dash back in. Advice Shpub would be appreciated, please,

Well with a little bit of my brute force and ignorance I got the speedo and tacho out - so the old dash is now free.

Still can't see how to lower the steering column though - any advice welcome. Probably leave putting in the 'new' dash until the morning now - don't want to rush it and screw up.

Jigs Not to sure on the 92 but mine had two bolts that are under the dash.
Follow the steering column down towards th epedals and you should see them, about 15mm i think there are four washers two either side that slide from above and the bracket as u unbolt it( mind your head ).
Have you also seen the two screws either side of the steering column

Hope this helps keep in touch,

BB
