Is it an easy thing to attempt? I am having the same problem but I am no mechanic. Is there anywhere I can find instructions or is it obvious how to replace the main headlight bulb in my 96 chimp?

Check this site out, http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Peter_Beech/TVR/Index.htm , it's not been updated for a while but there's loads of useful info. Look under General Electrics for headlamp removal - I think there's a bit on bulbs there.

Its not too bad, take off the number plate and grill. Lie on you back and reach up into the wing. As you reach up their you should feel the back of the light pod and the connector blocks. On the side of the top connector block are two butterfly clips. Simply squeeze these together and push them out. That will release the bulb from the pod. Pull the wires back gently and Voila!. Bit of an arse to get too and you loose the skin off your arms and hands but thats all their is to it. Have fun. PS Ive got to do my other one now as thats gone!!

Replacing that grille is a bit of a nightmare, especially if its cold. Halfords have replacements bulbs to fit, I put some of those blue thingies in mine. Can't really tell the difference though!
