I'm current deliberating over the factory offer for spider wheels (+brakes etc). I'll have my old 7 spoke Griff alloys to sell on if I go for it. However, they have a couple of marks on them (one wheel in particular). Are these alloys in demand at the moment, and would I be better getting all of the marks sorted, or just sell them as they are? I figure it'd cost about 100 pounds to get the front 2 done (rears are fine). What do they usually go for (including reasonable tyres)?

thanks,

Darren.

What is the factory offer? Estorils plus good tyres anything between £340 and £400 IMO. Probably not worth your while having them fixed unless they're really bad (£50 per wheel to fix is expensive IMO).

PS Re. e-mail - chip gone.

If a lot of Griff/Chim owners take up the offer the Estorils will go from being like rocking horse droppings to being like dog sh*t. Change my estimate from £340 + to £140 -.

Possibly - but the tyres are worth more than that, and I'd imagine it unlikely that many Griff or Chim 500 owners will pay the 1700 quid or whatever to get it done...

Supply and Demand will decide.
