right strange one this i sometimes get a knocking noise from the back end under (normal) braking but the noise goes when i dip the cluch ? any ideas please??
sounds like cv joint but thats only just been checked by a dealer and its only under braking and goes as soon as i dip the cluch, doesnt knock on pulling away either
I have no idea, have you checked the bolts holding the diff on? Mine clunks when I first reverse it out of the garage and then its fine, the clunk does sou nd like a knock though.
Mine did this when the diff bushes went, also found that the diff mounting brackets were almost cracked off and were flexing. Is the knock speed related, ie, does it get faster when you go faster etc?
