Having just had the d*mn car rebuilt and the original shockers being put back on as okay (and felt excellent initially and at Bruntingthorpe) three of them have now gone. So I now need to decided what to fit to my 92 4.3 pre-cat Griff.

I have heard pretty good thinks about the AVO's which are about £400 fitted inc VAT. Whereas I have heard excellent things about Nitrons for about £1100 fitted inc VAT. Are they really worth the extra for a normal driver who has not yet done any track days.

I understand the AVO's don't come with springs so does anyone know what the additional would be if I wanted new springs fitted at the same time? Mine seem okay but the way things are going you can bet one will break or something within a month of having this work done. I don't want to buy the AVO's if I am risking a bigger bill if I need to replace the springs soon afterwards.

It's a good job I have no intention of selling this car becuase it's driving me nuts (and into bankruptcy ) with a new bill everytime I drive it at the moment.

Ian, Graham 500 is having a set of Nitron's fitted by TopCats (nxt week I think) might be worth e-mailing him via his profile or posting a thread on this site to see what his view is or give the guys at TopCats a shout if you want prices and more info etc. Their number is 01296 655003
