This is seriously frustrating me... my daughter kicked it to pieces and I have received the replacement, but the damn thing doesn't close now.

Has anyone replaced the catch with a better system?

Joolz @ Joospeed put a simple spring loaded hinge on mine, keeps it closed with plenty of CDs in the glovebox and if any dodgy gits stick their head in looking for something to nick, they can't figure out how to open it!

Go the whole hog and have an elctric lock one, works exactly as now but doesnt work if there is no power on.

i have just bought modwise's electric glovebox lock and will install on sunday. its a great idea as it electronically lock glovebox and has a light too( great for when leaving car with roof down)
will let you know how it works soon

Mine works with a seperate key to lock and unlock. Must have been modded by the previous owner.
