I have the original wheel which is fine but has numerous indenations & cuts caused (I think) by previous owner wearing rings and holding on very tight.
I am considernig the change to also allow a spacer to be fitted to get the wheel a little closer (long legs, short arms)I have seen these availbale in various lenghts including a rather clever adjustable one. Anyone made the change, and what is the steering column from (I heard Vauxhall)?

Why dont you get a quick release one as i think the attachment they have will also bring the wheel forward a bit. and the bonus of security.

Steering column is Cavalier, and the standard Personal TVR wheel is mounted using a boss kit which allows any Momo-type wheel (6 bolt) to be used - so you can fit pretty much any aftermarket wheel. As for wheel/boss extensions, try Demon Tweeks - they do racing stuff so might have something suitable.

Edited to say don't get boy-racer creative and try using those lovely coloured anodised ally bolts to mount the wheel - they aren't up to it. Read somewhere that you can get a removable wheel if you use them, when you're least expecting it...

Edited again to say whoops! just read on Chimnea postings that personal and momo wheels have a different bolt positioning to each other - hope no-ones gone shopping on the strength of my info above!

The ones with the matching reversable cap?
Seriously, stainless steel ones will work if you want shiny.

I always thought a Cerbera wheel would be good and the little buttons could be wired in to do interesting functions like flash brake-lights at tail-gaters or deploy the bullet proof sheild Rich...

p.s. I think Clive "Zertec" reed fitted one to his Griff if I remember rightly, or perhaps he has the buttons fitted to his Personnal wheel.
