Really need to fit a roll bar first. Then it becomes easy.

I saw a device from Guglielmi (Sp?) Motorsport at Bruntingthorpe. Instead of a rollbar, it is a tube which ran across behind the seats, from roughly where the top seatbelt mounts are. This made it easy to fit the top mounts for the harness. A lot cheaper & easier than a roll bar, especially in an early car which, I believe, does not have mounting points on the chassis for a roll bar. Clearly not as useful if you roll though! I think it was a prototype and was about to be modified as MK1 prevented the roof from folding down properly.
