Help Cooling problem
Discussion
HELP the right hand cooling fan has stopped working on my 95 griff500, i was able to drive the car home ok but it was struggling to keep the temperture down in slow moving traffic.
I have started to investigate the problem but so far with no success.
Fan motor is ok as it works if you plug it into the other connector.
Cooling fan fuse is ok
Relay is clicking in and out when otter switch is shorted.
Horn fuse is ok ( I've heard some cars had there second fan wired to the horn circuit as this reduced the load on the fans circuit.
Earth is ok on connector of non working fan.
Does anyone know if there are any in line fuses anywhere.
Thanks for any help

HAve youmade sure the connector just down from the fan motor is ok as i had a problem with mine, it had corroded quite badly and wasnt making a good cotct and while the other fan was running if u wiggled allsorts of sparking happened(load).
Bypass the Otter switch with a bit of wire so the fans are on and give it ago.
All the best

there is (on mine) a connector to extend the wiring from the original otter switch (in the block) to the new TVR one in the swirl pot. if you have no volts at the otter, check here.
mine is in the mass of crap (and now replaced) wiring at the front of the block by the dizzy.
the connector is taped up for (crap) insulation and in my case was just the usual Lucas spade type.
this happened to me. as did the front fan connector!
useful to know of the original otter in an emegency...mine is in the casting for the water exit from the block, by the thermostat.
check connector, and volts
good luck
