ive just found that my much loved griff doesnt like the rain!this really isnt on as my old chim leaked like a cullender and i thought my griff was beyond that!after being parked out overnight in the rain, ive found a lovely pool of water on my rear parcel shelf.its easy to see where it came from as the wet trail leads straight to the rear vent, the upper ones visible from ouside through the boot gap (passenger side one in this case).i guess water is running under the lower edge of the hood and in through the vent opening underneath it.is there a way to stop this without blocking the vent up?anybody had similar experiences?
I'm not sure that is your problem, as both my vents are the same and mine doesn't leak at the moment (but if after having said that and I find mine wet tonight I'll not be chuffed).
Mine gets like that when the effect of the water sealant has worn off which usually follows a period of up and down roof action (ooerrr). Therefore I would first try a few fresh coats of Thompsons first.
Cheers,
Simon.

When did you last waterproof your hood? It should be done annually at the very least if not more often.
As Dave Batty said to me once "you can have all the seals, membranes and whathaveyou you want, but if your hood isn't waterproof then the car is going to get wet".

After drying out, fixing seals and Fabsilling the hood invest in a couple of 'Moisture Absorbers' as used in caravans. They sit very neatly on the floor behind the seats, cost less than a fiver each (refills £2/last six months) in camping shops. No more condensation and no musty smells from damp carpets. Good job.
what a numptyafter testing to try to see how it leaked,i couldnt for the life of me get any water to come through the vent again.ive now realised that id been a little, shall we say, overzelous with the hosepipe whilst cleaning her up the previous morning!at least theres a bright side to this i suppose in that my hood doesnt actually leak.must remember to go carefull and stop playing fireman sam from now on.
